Mobile Court

On 12/05/2025, two mobile courts were conducted in the Khulshi area of Chattogram Metropolitan City.

Mobile Court 1:
"The Sweet Basket Super Shop, Khulshi, Chattogram" was fined Tk. 20,000 under Section 24(1)/41 of the Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 2018 for packaging and marketing various products without obtaining packaging registration from BSTI. The company was also instructed to immediately apply for packaging registration from BSTI.
This mobile court was led by Ms. Jakia Mumtahina, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate, Chattogram.

Mobile Court 2:
"Shwapno Super Shop, Khulshi, Chattogram" was fined Tk. 20,000 under Section 24(1)/41 of the Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 2018 for packaging and marketing various products without obtaining packaging registration from BSTI. The company was also instructed to immediately apply for packaging registration from BSTI.
This mobile court was led by Ms. Jannatul Ferdous, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate, Chattogram.

BSTI officials from the Divisional Office, Chattogram — Engr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Field Officer (CM), and Mr. Bulbul Ahmed Joy, Inspector (Metrology) — acted as prosecutors in the mobile courts
